The Renaissance League is a groundbreaking initiative to demonstrate the Sports Totality with the purpose of transforming access to amateur sports by making participation financially affordable for all families.
We are building an innovative sports financing ecosystem that integrates professional and amateur athletics within a unified, scalable model designed to generate sustainable revenues, reduce operating costs, and reinvest in community participation.
This solution directly addresses the escalating financial burdens faced by families due to failing professional and amateur sports models, shrinking public-school programs, and the professionalization of collegiate athletics.
Youth sports in the United States are facing a growing affordability crisis, with costs rising at a rate that is excluding millions of families from participation.
According to the Aspen Institute’s Project Play, family spending on youth sports has increased by 46% over the past five years. This dramatic escalation in cost is pricing
out many children from accessing the lifelong benefits of athletic engagement.
The impact is already visible. Data from the National Survey of Children’s Health shows a decline in participation: in 2019, 56.1% of children aged 6–17 were engaged in organized sports.
By 2022, this number had dropped to 54.6%, equating to
approximately 27.3 million children, and the downward trend is continuing.
Rugby is entering a golden era of visibility and opportunity—making now the perfect moment for bold investment.
With the Women’s Rugby World Cup about to kick off in the UK, global attention is already building. That momentum will accelerate as the sport takes center stage at the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics, followed by the Men's and Women's Rugby World Cups on U.S. soil in 2031 and 2033. This decade presents an unprecedented window to grow the game at every level.
The Renaissance League seizes this moment to build a sustainable, accessible, and community-driven rugby ecosystem—connecting youth participation to elite pathways and legacy impact across the nation.
